About Skill Diploma In 3D Modeling for Production (6 Months)

The aim of this course is to expose the students to 3D modelling. This course will teach the student the expectations for production modelling and what it’s like to work on a production team. The students are introduced to the Maya interface and the world of 3D modelling.

Lectures cover the application of 3D tools in animation, film, VFX and game industries. The student shall understand the core concepts of model creation from concept art and model sheets, make the model production pipeline friendly, and also learn to light and render stills as well as turntables.

Throughout this course, the student shall work on several projects ranging from household objects, game props, environments and semi-realistic characters. The student shall also acquire skill sets to create and showcase a demo reel/portfolio and also learn to work coherently in a production environment.
